FunCPR Classes: What to Expect & How They’re Structured
At FunCPR, learning lifesaving skills should never be dull. Whether you're there for yourself, your family, or your workplace, our classes are designed to be energetic, interactive, and practical—so you leave confident, certified, and ready. Here’s a full breakdown of what our classes look like, what they include, and which option is best suited for you.
Types of Classes Offered
We provide several different CPR & First Aid class formats to meet diverse needs:
-
Open Enrollment CPR Classes
These are public, regularly scheduled classes (e.g., Sundays in Canoga Park, CA) that individuals can sign up for. Walk-ins are accepted if spaces are available, though pre-registration is recommended. -
Adult CPR
– Focuses on adult-only care: recognizing heart attack & stroke symptoms, applying adult chest compressions, AED use.
– Also covers choking rescue, and how to maintain heart health.
– Class includes hands-on practice with adult-sized mannequins. -
Adult + Child + Infant CPR
– More comprehensive. Includes everything in the Adult CPR class plus training for child and infant rescue.
– Ideal for parents, childcare providers, teachers, security personnel, or anyone who wants full coverage.
– Techniques for choking & AED use for all ages are featured. -
Child & Infant CPR (PBLS / BLS-C)
– Designed mainly for healthcare providers, new parents, babysitters, or those who need pediatric life support credentials.
– Includes two-rescuer CPR, use of Bag Valve Mask (BVM), and specific pediatric injury prevention info. -
Basic First Aid
– Covers a wider variety of emergencies: bleeding & shock, wounds & burns, head/spinal injuries, bone/joint/muscle injuries, fainting, diabetic emergencies, seizures, poisoning, and more.
– Also includes prevention education and how to safely move victims.
What Makes FunCPR Different
-
Hands-on Practice: More than half of class time is spent practicing with mannequins (adult, child, infant where applicable), so you can build muscle memory.
-
Interactive Learning & Gamification: Simulations, contests, activities—all designed to make learning memorable and to help you retain what you’ve learned.
-
Full Package: You receive all handouts/materials, certification cards (CPR and, where applicable, First Aid), without hidden costs.
-
Accreditation: All classes offer a two-year certification and are recognized by OSHA and the American Heart Association.
Certification & Compliance
-
All our classes comply with nationally recognized standards (OSHA & AHA).
-
Upon successful completion (with any required written exam), participants receive a valid certificate good for two years.
-
Class prices vary depending on the level and whether First Aid is included.
